The theme of the exhibition is a reflection on photographic overproduction. The title alludes to the myth of the labyrinth, represented today by the huge body of visual imagery produced by various photographic techniques. Corrado Sassi exhibits paradoxical large-format photographs containing visual material taken from other images; in his works photography's precise compositional sense is softened by the instinctive deviating inspiration sought by Sassi while rapidly leafing through book illustrations. The result startles us and involves us emotionally, causing us to reflect on the transitory nature of all images and shifting our attention to the human reality of the artist.
Curated by Federico Del Prete
